What Has Happened in the Crazy World Of Aubrey (Part 2)

This picture was left out of the last post, and because I love tigers I decided I would stick it in this post. When I went to the zoo with my family, there was a bridge over by these bad kitties (some of you who have been to Hoogle Zoo will know what I'm talking about.) and there was a tiger pacing back and forth on it and sometimes he would lay down to stare the zoobies passing by.
This one is for Ashley and all you other snuggie lovers. Sorry, but I just wanted everyone to see this and enjoy it before we moved on.This next picture is for Ashley too. She loves wolves and i can remember a lot of her wolf drawings so now whenever I see a wolf I connect it to Ashley. I accidentally left it our of my last post.

Okay! So in this post we shall finish up all the fun things I did this summer. The picture below is from my last day of summer. The day before I started college I went to the jumpstart orientation with some friends. This is a result of on of those "add-on" games. Notice the 3D features? (For a good time, click on it)

As normal, we are going out of order. I saw a lot of plays over the summer! On of them was Annie Get your Gun at the Scera Shell. When I was really young, a close friend of mine gave me a postcard with Annie on it. She said it reminded her of me. Now that I have seen the play I totally understand! ha ha I was blessed with the experience of going with my cute niece! She loved it!
Isn't she photogenic? I use to have one of these as my laptop background.
I was also given the unique opportunity to be apart of a national paramedic test!
This, my friends, is not real. It's called a moulage (Like the Moulin Rouge mixed into one word). I have never had so much fun during a test! What a blast it was! I got to learn a lot of stuff, meet a lot of new people, and make a lot of unforgettable memories. One of my co-victims was Rachel (from the previous post) who is modeling how to wear the moulage. I really hope they invite me back!
And that's what I did over the summer. I have so many more stories to share and adventures to tell! summer was just the beginning of something big and grand! College has been one of the best experiences of my life and I can't wait to tell you more about it!
Look for another blog post to come soon!

What Has Happened in The Crazy World of Aubrey (Part 1)

My summer was CRAZY and fun! I
been having so much fun, that I have not had time to post about it! The events may not have happened in the order I put them. Sorry! I went hiking with friends to Stewart Falls. (It was part of my "birthday") A couple of friends are missing from the pictures. One of which is Rachel Cazier. (Keep her in mind, k?)
I walked through and underneath a WATERFALL... so refreshing! Not to mention I also killed a butterfly, saw "Robert Redford", big foots pants, and something that looks like what use to be a hot tub! FUN! FUN!
Remember how I told you to keep Rachel in mind? Well about a couple weeks after the hike, we went on another ADVENTURE!
I would like to call this: The Salt Lake Adventure!!

We hopped on board the "trax" and took over Salt Lake! (Rachel: "Hey Aubrey... What are you doing?" Aubrey: "Nothing. Just checking my email. Why? Did you think I'm trying to take a picture of you?") We ate at The Lion House (My first time!) and since this was still a part of my "birthday" I got a free piece of cake and it was so BIG That I shared it with Peter! Now if only I could find the recipe in one of our three Lion House recipe books.
Of course you can't see Salt Lake City without seeing the Salt Lake Temple! I love this picture!
(When we were about to sit down for the picture... Peter: This isn't an engagement picture.)
Skipping pennies! I made 3 wishes!
HaHa We also stopped by the zoo! (I hadn't been to the zoo since first grade and then 2 times in 1 month! I have pictures from both trips later in this post.)

We just HAD to go to the Hansen Planetarium. I haven't been there since I was in 2nd grade! What a fun place! We saw HUBBLE 3D (narrated by Leonardo DeCaprio) and some other movie which we (yes. ALL of us.) almost fell asleep.

We chillin' on MARS!!! (Yes. Planet Mars is actually located in Salt Lake.)

The moon is not in Salt Lake City but somehow Peter found sometime to take a quick trip and view the sights. (Could you imagine serving a mission on the moon or on a space station?)

We took a quick look at the Children's Museum!

What a fun and adventurous day! And it only cost 24 dollars and a whole Saturday! (Salt Lake Coupons or See Salt Lake. Something like that.) What a strange experience it was to be only 45 minutes away from home and yet not be considered a "local" and be thrown into a whole new learning experience! I'd do it all again in a matter of seconds!
Just a week or two afterwards, we returned to the zoo for my Dad's work party! I love the zoo!
Can you spot the owl?
If I could wear this everyday, I SOOO would! To school, to church, to sleep, to play... I'd totally do it! I love being a... feline. (I asked to be a cougar and I got this lovely creation!)
Look out! Rhino!!!
'Das ist my guut side!'
I was standing next to the fence when this RAM decided to scratch himself against it. Thank goodness for fences!!

LIONS!!!! GRRAAAARRRR! (Okay, so I saw it at the Children's Museum instead of the zoo.)

I know it's hard to see but this is one of "Nature's Nightmares" and I thought it was funny how he was acting all gangster-like so I tried to take a picture.

MONKEYS! Probably the greater part of the zoo population/community. I had a close up of this dude but I accidentally deleted it.

More monkeys! Meet Mark. Mark is a deep mediater. Actually he's depressed. Unless Rachel is around. Mark likes Rachel. Mark is Rachel's "boyfriend." He likes to play peek-a-boo with her.
Mark also likes to do "GQ" poses. At least that's what we call it. Mark is a part time model. Evidently.
This is Mark's cage mate. He likes to play tag. He's meditating too. Unlike Mark, he has 2 brothers.

Bats. I was RIGHT UNDER them! No glass in between. Just me and the bats in the same room. Oh and there was a 15-16 year old FAT skunk. It's no big deal.

Ostrich. This one was right in front/below my mom and she did not see it. It looks so funny! I want to pull a Simba by jumping over the fence and riding on it's back.
TIGERS! If I could choose what to be in my next life, I would choose a tiger. I have been told I look like a tiger MANY MANY times. (Random, right? This little boy told me I look like a tiger once. Way to introduce yourself.)
TIGGER! (haha Tiger... Tigger... same thing.)
Here you get both sides of them! I can't remember what they're called but don't they look cool? Remember this dude? He starred in his own film in a previous post.
Thank you for reading about some of my crazy doings! As you know this is part 1. That means that there is more to come and come they shall! Sorry it took so long to put them up here but college has been kicking my butt and sucking up my time. I will get the rest of my summer adventures up here soon. Still to come is my first concert and another adventure with Rachel. So how does one finish a post like this? I believe there's only one way!
TO BE CONTINUED... (Ya. I went there.)

An Edit (Between Scholarships)

You may be scratching your head if you read the original "Between Scholarships". I'm writing this edit because I didn't mean all I said. When I typed it out I realized that I messed up a few times in trying to express what I wanted to, so I wanted to let it sit and I was going to get back to it later. However, the "save" and "publish" button are next to each other. I'm sure you can figure it out from there. (The original post has since been deleted. I apologize again for confusing/worrying/upsetting anybody.) It came out wrong and I was awfully unclear. I do NOT want to be a paranormalist. I ONLY want to talk to one, nothing more. I have a mother and a great family who have taught me well about not getting mixed up into things of such a matter. I don't go looking for trouble.
As a student starting a new chapter of my life (college) I want to learn as much as I can about whatever I can. I want to learn about different religions and their beliefs, I want to learn how to take care of a horse, how to change the brakes on a car, how to barbecue, what needs to be considered when making a budget, how to expand my horizons, etc.
I hope that has clarified things. I found this video when looking for LDS views on issues (I found a website called mormonmentality.org). It's kind of making fun of ghosts and really shows off the effectiveness of music. It made me laugh really hard when I watched it! Enjoy! (If you didn't the first time)

Super Dooper Video Posts #1

Here you go! Footage of the wild and crazy adventures of Aubrey's Phone. Enjoy!
The first two films where filmed at Youth Conference at Aspen Grove. The first is when "Santa Fe" became a verb. (Ex. She totally Santa Fe'd that! Let's go Santa Fe a rock!) The second was a random idea to make an improvational movie in the village and it just became insane.

The following is from a crazy adventure in Salt Lake with Peter and another friend (I'll blog about it later.) Here we see Peter doing a little moon walk.
This one you may need to watch twice. Notice Peter freaking out int the bottom left corner, then check out Peter the monster on the television in the top right corner.
Meerkat! Need I say more? Beaver foot races! There's a little boy who was running every race so I decided that he should win at least one. When it came to my group I told the other girls my plan and they agreed. Thus is the results.
Ashley left her fish with me to take care of while she's in Japan. We were curious as to what the cat thought of them and how in the world she would manage to get onto the top shelf. I was lucky enough to get it on my phone. Please notice the "whatsup" nod at the end. Here's to you Ash!

Running for the Hills

Once upon a time, about a few months ago, there was a little redhead who was lucky enough to get pneumonia. Once she got better she decided "I'm going to beat this thing." and so a runner/jogger was born.
As you've probably guessed, this little redhead is me. I HATE running. It sure does do a number on my lungs. I probably wouldn't do it at all if it wasn't for my Ipod because I use to get pretty bored after about 5 seconds of running. I guess I should say that I hatED running.
Since summer has begun, I've gone running with a fellow neighbor. Both of us are at the same stages of our lives and both of us have running goals. So then I started to hate running a little less. Sure I could give you the pros and cons of running but I'm sure you know them already.

Then came Tuesday. My brother had the day off of work so I invited him to go running with me and said friend. So we woke up some what early, got our running clothes on (By the way, does anyone know where to find a decent pair of running shorts and perhaps a good exercise/running tee?)I grabbed my Ipod, we met up at a designated place, then we took off! Sorta. We tried to stay at a steady pace.
I think there must be angels or running or something because for the most part, the universe (or whatever you want to call it) was on my side. The first song to pop up on my Ipod was a song by Kat Deluna called Unstoppable. (Youtube it or do whatever you do. Just look it up.) That got me running AND dancing and it got me going. I made it a pretty good distance before my lungs started to give out. Needless to say I was felt pretty good. Last time I ran I made at least 2 stops in the distance I ran. Pretty cool! The Ipod angels struck again with playing a song that I really wanted to hear. Afterwards, I was graced by the music of the Isely Brothers, Bon Jovi, and some pretty good running songs. I believe they even through in some One Republic (My current all time favorite band! They're slowing working their way to obsession.) I wasn't able to make the sprint at the end of our run due to a kind gesture from the morning. (My brother made me breakfast! Wow sweet!!) Or maybe possibly I just need to keep on running.
I enjoyed having the company of my brother and our friend while I continue towards my goals and I hope we can do it again. Maybe running isn't so bad...
Happy running!

Animal House

I have heard life be compared to a zoo. After looking through my phone pictures, I realized that who ever made that analogy may not be too far off... For your viewing pleasure (and to make room on my phone) I give you the Farnsworth Zoo.
Okay so this guy doesn't live at my house, but I still wanted to get the picture off of my phone and share him with you. He lives in Mt. Pleasant right next to my cabin. I caught him for my niece and when it was time to let him go home I asked her if we should name him. Of course she said yes. So I asked her what his name should be. She thought long and hard but eventually came up with "Fred." Good times. We hope you're still alive and happy Fred.
I know what it looks like. Just seconds before this photo was taken, she was chasing the dog while holding that bat. True story.
If you see a pair of eyes watching you while visiting my house, it is not Cruella De Vil. Those eye belong to the resident cat, Sushi. She stole that skirt from me.
My new watering buddy! What a funny funny dog Edison is. He belongs to my brother next door but I guess we have become his second home. I returned from watering some plants to see a body without a head! Another time when I returned to refill my pale, he was arming crawling across the grass. I still have no idea why.
Wake up to this, and the rest of your day will go better. I knew there are reasons that you should never leave your drink unattended... but I never imagined this to be one of them.
The problem with bed buddies. I love Ginger. Ginger loves the teddy bear. Thank you for taking your time to meet the exhibits.
I finally figured out how to change my layout! And I did it all by myself! (Que triumphant music.) I hope to get some videos off my phone and have a "video post", so be on the look out for that.

In other news...
My family hosted a HUGE family reunion. I'm proud to announce that I had a BLAST! Possibly a huge highlight of my summer. I met some super awesome cousins. (and truth be told, I miss them.) I was so busy having fun that I didn't take any pictures. Sad, right? But no worries. I will take pictures at the next "cousins" get together. Who knew cousins could be so much fun?
Congrats to my mother who has officially started her blog! Good luck!
